I had a great time at Coph Nia (www.cophnia.org) this past week. Coph Nia is a spiritual gathering for gay and bisexual pagan men. This year it was held at Four Quarters Interfaith Sanctuary / Farm in Artemas, Pennsylvania. I believe the plan is to have it there next year at about the same time in early August.
I met approximately 30 wonderful men at this event. Each and every one of them was a pleasure to meet and each beautiful in his own way. There were workshops, including three that I hosted on gay and bi men’s rites of passage.
I’m still pretty tired out from the event and trip home so I’m keeping this post short. My next podcast will be a review of the event – hopefully I’ll have that together within the next month or so if not sooner. Some of the seeds planted in my head from the event may also inspire future podcasts and blog posts.
Check out my new podcast titled “Unicorns and Phallic Horns”. In this episode I give some news including information on the 2014 Coph Nia mystical gathering for gay and bi men where I’ll be speaking this year and updates on the books I’m writing on gay and bi men’s rites of passage and gay werewolves. I talk about phallicism and horned phallic gods in many cultures, the phallic symbolism of unicorns, and ponder whether Austin Powers fits the description of a modern phallic god. There’s also a musical hymn to Herne.
